Hello again, today is Thursday, November 1, 2012. Today is the Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. It is a Mexican holiday in which dead loved ones are remembered. It is a day of mourning. Interestingly enough, the concept of a day set aside for remembrance is not uniqe to the Mexican culture, it is apparent throughout parts of Asia and Africa. In fact, the tradition stemmed from an Aztec tradition with the goddess Mictecacihuatl. This isn't strange, we as humans don't want to forget about those who we loved but have now passed. I know I wouldn't. So, Feliz Días de los Muertos.
