3 November 2012
Hello again, today is Friday, November 2, 2012. If you have seen certain scenarios floating aroud online, then you know about the slight chance of a tie in the Electoral College. Now, if you aren't an American citizen and not interested in foreign affairs, then this is irrelavent to you. But if this is relevant to you, you may want to listen. The way the Electoral College works is that there are 538 delegates that decide who is the president. In the occasion of a tie, the entire system goes amok. The Senate chooses the Vice President even though the House of Representatives choose the President. This implies that there is a chance for there to be a Romney/Biden or an Obama/Ryan administration. This from a purely legislative standpoint wouldn't make any difference, the law making body would still be in gridlock. But from reality's standpoint all the finger-pointing and poo-throwing that the candidates have done to each other, the inauguration would have to be pretty awkward. I think it would be pretty interesting to throw that curveball in the politics of it all. Well that olny has wery small chance of happening, so that probably isn't a worry.
As always,
ZenMercury, Keep calm, and remember, this could all be solved by removing or adding just one delegate.
