I know you don't feel the same, We are two people in two different worlds, To me your a hero, With skies to fly, To you, I'm just a sweet girl
Do you ever think about me? When your alone and cold at night, Does my laugh bring back painful memories? Of us laughing in the sunlight
Do you ever scan a crowd? Searching in dear hope for the face of mine, Has my lingering looks made you wonder, What's really going on inside
Do you remember all those moments? Too priceless and warm to forget, Well I remember too, all the fumbles in front of you, That make me cringe and shudder with regret
Have you ever felt a jolt? In your chest when I turn to your eyes, No, I'm sure that's just me, Sad as it be, Our feelings could never be likewise
Your happy and funny and loving, And I hope you'll stay that way for life, But I miss you sometimes, When you take over my mind, And I feel compelled to tell you of my strife
And I know I'm just another teenage wreck, Insecure and never satisfied, But I'm writing this poem, In hope that you'll know, How I truly feel on the inside
