Huddled up against the wall In Winter, Autumn turning Cool and cold in brick/stone house Found pockets, warmth retaining
One spot on the kitchen floor Where pipes run close to ground Top end of our living room Wrapped up and hunkered down
Leather sofas never held Their heat for very long So we spent the lonely months Pressed close to storage Toms
With tea and biscuits, cake and jam With Toaster heated lids Mice against the skirting board The radiator kids
