20 September 2012
I awoke, my mind foggy, my eyes blurry. I spluttered and bolted upright. I was alive. They hadn't killed me. But where was Hurricane? And where was Avisha? I tried to growl to tell somebody I was awake. But nothing came out but a low whine. More like a hum.
I bent down and reached for my paws, I wanted to lick them, a security thing I got from when I was a kitten. But my paws weren't there. Instead there was hands, young, soft hands. With pristine nails, and knuckles.
What was going on?
I was curious. I surveyed my surroundings, I was in a small square white room containing a bed, on which I was sitting on, and a cabinet that was padlocked in the corner of the room.
There was a metal door which looked locked, so I didn't even try to open it, a vent, and a security camera.
I looked at myself. I had human legs, feet, toes, toenails. I was wearing a hospital gown tied loosely behind my waist. I tied it tighter, I didn't want anybody who was watching through the camera to see my behind.
I felt my face. I had a small nose, and thick lips, and my hair was long, blue and spirally.
I was interrupted as the metal door opened. A sinister man in a white suit walked into my room, a badge was clipped onto his pocket. His name was Doctor Cloud.
"Hello Ailsa." Said Doctor Cloud. "Hello" I spluttered. My first spoken word in years. "You probably have seen my badge. I am Doctor Cloud. I am here to explain." Said the doctor.
"Okay. Explain everything." I sighed. This wasn't going to turn out good.
"since you were born, you took part in our 'Brain Alterations' experiment number 29090. You're brain was altered to make you experience a life completely different to your own. Your real life was lived for many years in this room. Unconscious. Your husband Hurricane also lived in this room. Your brains were connected so you could experience love in this dream life. We moved him to a new area when it was time to wake you." Doctor Cloud held my hand. "Why did you wake me?" I asked. "We had completed our research. You are no longer required to be experimented on. This is why you are awake, and this is why I am telling you that you are about to be executed following the procedures of the Brain Alteration centre code." Doctor Cloud let go of my hand. "no." I said. I stood up for the first time. "No. You can't kill me now." I began to shiver. "Yes we can Ailsa. You are no longer required." Doctor Cloud stood up, and revealed a pair of handcuffs. "What about Avisha?" I cried. "Yes. Your young. That was a fun day when we had to force your unconscious body to give birth. Took a lot of persuasion. And medication." Doctor Cloud laughed. "Is she alive?" I asked, beginning to shake more and more. "Perfectly well. She will lead a life like yours soon. When we are finished with our research, she will finish too. Just the way of life I'm afraid." Doctor Cloud took a step towards me. I took a space back. "And what about Hurricane?" I asked, my heart was beating faster and faster. "Ah, Hurricane. As a matter of fact, his death is due today as well as yours. In fact, wait a second." Doctor Cloud pressed a button, and the metal door opened, revealing a handcuffed young man with rippling muscles, and long blue hair. "Hurricane!" I cried. My last hope in life. Hurricane gave a small weak smile, he was dragged over to the bed, and handcuffed to one side.
Doctor Cloud advanced on me. "No!" I screamed, I tried to run but Doctor Cloud threw a dart that pierced my skin and instantly knocked me out. I awoke two minutes later handcuffed to the bed next to Hurricane. Doctor Cloud stood before me. "You are going to die in approximately four minutes and thirty seven seconds. Please do not struggle as your death will become even more unpleasant. Your bodies will be disposed of in an orderly manor. Have a nice death lovebirds." Doctor Cloud cackled. He left the room and shut the door behind him. I hugged into Hurricane, and closed my eyes. "I love you." I said, beginning to cry. "I love you too my little kitten." Said Hurricane, wrapping my head in his arms. I heard a swishing sound, and green gas was pumping into the room through the vent. I felt it engulf my lungs, and began to cough desperately trying to regain air, but to no avail. This time I really was going to die. And as I expelled the last air from my lungs, I felt Hurricane's lips touch mine. Our last kiss.
