My Life 1#

Hey guys here is the first chapter of "my life". Please like and repost if you want me to Carry on. Not out of being selfish but just if you actually want to read it.

Chapter 1:

I am Kit Orange. I go to north halifax comprehensive school and I have just started in year eight.

I wake up, groan, and look at my clock. 6:15. Time to get up. I climb down from my bunk bed, trying to be as quite as possible so as not to wake my little brothers. I creep across the landing to the bathroom. And start changing into my uniform. My uniform consists of a white shirt, a red and grey striped tie, a grey blazer and grey trousers. I make sure the knot on my tie is as big as possible and there is only three stripes. I keep my top button undone and my shirt untucked. I hope that these will all make me more popular and less of a nerd, but first impressions mean everything and last year I wasn't exactly one of the cool popular people. I was a nerd. Most people think I still am a posh, mad nerd. Maybe I am. But I decided not to let people think that. I want to redeem myself.
I packed my bag last night, so all I have to do is have breakfast and practice the piano. Yes, I play the piano, the trombone, the ukulele and I sing, and I don't play a single sport. All just adds to the image of me being a nerd. I go downstairs, and my dad is already down there, making me bacon and eggs. I sit down at the table, and stare at the wall. I'm so tired! I look at the Zimbabwean wall hangings we have in our kitchen. Oh yeah, by the way i'm a hippie too. Not the drug taking kind, the other kind. The nice kind.
Anyway, I scoffed down my breakfast, and ran into the living room to squeeze in half an hours music practice before I Have to leave the house at 7:15.
I practice all my pieces and do a pretty good job, though I say so myself. I jump up as soon as I'm done and run to the door, put my shoes on without tying the laces and run down to the road. I stand and wait for about five minutes. Then I hear a dodgy engine and pick up my bag as my friend's car comes round the corner. it is a red, out of use old post van. The car stops and I get in, slamming the door shut behind me. This friend (Joe) is very strange. He is a nice person when he isn't at school, yet at school he's horrible to everyone. We all still like him though. He is blonde haired, with a pointy nose. There Has been rumours around that it is his nose that is the reason that none of the girls have ever been out with him.
After a ten minute car journey, we arrive at the bus stop. We walk along from where joe's mum parked, and stand under the bus shelter. We stand in silence for a few minutes. Then Millie arrives. Millie is (in my opinion) the hottest girl in my form. I fancy her so much. But I'm the nerd. So I have no chance with her.
She walks over to us. 'hi joe' she says, completely ignoring me. 'hi Millie' joe replies.
I have no idea how all the girls like joe, even when he's so mean to all of them. I'm a nice person, yet they all totally ignore me, unless I ask them a direct question.
'hi Millie' I say, and she looks at me. 'hi' she says, and turns back to joe.
I always humour myself that they ignore me because they fancy me and are embarrassed. I know that's not the reason I just tell myself that to stop myself going mad. Then Sean arrives. Sean is a nerd as well, but less than me. He plays lots of sports so he is more popular.
'hi Sean!' I say'
'hi kit' he says in his deep voice ( it has broken).
Joe and Millie are in deep conversation, forgetting me and Sean entirely. He fancies her, but she almost certainly doesn't fancy him. The bus finally arrives, and we all pile on. There are barely any seats, so we have to go all the way to the back, except Sean, who finds a seat at the front. There is one year seven on his own in a three seat, so Millie sits Down there. I race joe there and I get there first. Joe gives me and millie the finger and sits in a two with a sixth-former. The bus starts moving. Millie is looking out of the window, so I take the time to look at her while she is focused on something else. She is beautiful. I want so much to lean over and hug her and kiss her smooth cheek. But I don't. I Sit there and try to look bored. She ignores me. I try to ignore her. Not gonna work. I try to find something to talk about. 'look at joe!' I whisper. He's leaning forward looking depressed. Huh! Don't know why! Millie looks. 'that's his happy face' I tell her. And she smiles a bit.
Yes! She smiled. Then she turns round again and looks out of the window. If joe were sitting where I am, he would be taking to her, I tell myself. Try to talk!
Funnily enough, it's Millie who talks first. 'I'm so tired!' she says. 'me too' I reply. My brain works quickly. 'oh crap, we've got pse next!' I say. 'oh bollocks' she says back 'I hate pse!' 'it's so annoying! We're learning about the environment. I know its good to know about it but that's what parents tell us every day! We should be learning about rape precautions, not the environment!' she laughed out loud this time, and I allowed myself a large helping of satisfaction. Then she looked out of the window again and ignored me. Next thing I new, the bus had stopped and we started getting off. We had arrived at school.
