I'm your typical early-teen girl. I'm 13, just starting 8th grade at the same school as last year and the year before that. Just a normal middle school, nothing special.
I lead a pretty normal life. I'm a bit on the nerdy side as my favorite subject is math and I'm one of the smartest people in my grade, but I don't act like you're normal nerd. Sure I play two instruments and I have a passion for algebra, but I have plenty of friends and I'm really not treated much different than your average Joe.
Now, I don't want to bore you with a long backstory or anything, so I think I'll just start off with the first day back at school.
I was ready and roaring to go, wearing my favorite jean shorts and a new t-shirt that I knew looked good on me. It had been ages since I had seen a lot of my friends, so I was pretty excited to start the new year. I was especially excited to see my crush, Max. I hadn't seen him since the last day of school.
"Hey Violet! Are you really that nervous about today? You walked right past me!" practically shouted my best friend Lily, bringing me back to the present. I didn't realize I was already inside the school, walking down the hallway!
"Sorry about that L, my mind was just wandering." I replied, raising my voice so that she could hear me over the racket of slamming lockers, squeaky shoes, and talking kids.
"Are you excited for English this year? We finally get Mr. Lennit!"
I had almost forgotten! We had been waiting since sixth grade to have Mr. Lennit, the best English teacher known to man, or so we were told.
"Yes! I'm very excited!! And I'm so glad we're in the same English class this year!" We were together for almost everything this year, unlike seventh grade, where we were lucky to get to sit at the same lunch table. Even our lockers were next to each other this year.
"Me too!"
We had finally gotten to our lockers to put our backpacks away when the bell rang to tell us that we had a minute to get to class...

@TheRainbowUnicorn Lol! No. None of the people completely exist, their names are random, but they are partially based on really people. Actually a lot based in some places. :)
