11:11~Payton And Josh

Chapter 1
It's Monday. My least favorite day of the week. Monday means school, homework, and fresh gossip. Not that I enjoy gossip, but I guess school wouldn't be what it is now without it.
1st period.
My worst class, math, but one of my favorite teachers. Mrs. Rock. She's my homeroom too. Which is good I guess, she lets us do a lot of stuff. Most of my friends are in my class, but of course Abby isn't. At least not this year. We have homework, but only because its Monday. Tomorrow we get to go skiing since school got cancelled before Winter Break, and our ski trip. Oh well, at least I'll have an extra day to do it. I sit next to 3 boys. Josh, Tyler, and Evan.
"So, are you going on the ski trip tomorrow?" Josh asked.
"Yeah," I reply. " I would be the only person not going."
"Yeah, I guess.."
Things have been kind of awkward between us. Racheal questioned him about me a couple days ago. She asked things like, "Do ya like her? and "Would you ever go out with her?". He ended up answering, " I don't know..". That made her kind of mad. The other day while we were waiting outsider for school to start, she screamed half way across the school yard, just to say "Hi." To Josh. He was starring at us. And of course she noticed it. I cracked up laughing.
Second period.
"Ugh, I don't want to go to gym." I say.
"I know! I hate gym," Racheal said." I don't want to present my game, it's really stupid."
For gym class this quarter we for into groups and had to come up with our own game. When I get done changing I wait in my spot to be assigned a new partner. My gym teacher puts me with Tyler. At least I like this person. After 13 laps of running around the gym I feel like I'm going to pass out. We play dodgeball. I would say I'm a pretty good dodgeball player. The highlight of gym class was hitting Dylan in the face, hard. I didn't get in trouble of course. I had to do 10 exercises and then I was back in. I had fun, I mean its probably the most fun I've had in gym.
Third period.
Literature.
It's probably the easiest subject for me. All we ever do is read our books that we get at the library. Our teacher, Mrs. Lowry, didn't give us any homework cause she's just that awesome.
"Hey Sade!" I say as I sit down.
"Oh, hey Payton."
Sade is the girl who sits next to me in Literature (she isn't very talkative), and Josh and Rhett sit across from me.
Forth period.
History is my best subject. Mr. Pringle, our teacher, always gives us homework. It's not hard so I usually get it done in class. Josh and Jason sit behind me in History. They annoy me, a lot. They talk to each other, and they talk to me but I never get in trouble. But they do, so its kind of funny. I like how all of our teachers like the girls, so if we ever do something wrong we never get in trouble for it.
Dear.
Dear stands for Drop Everything And Read. Just in case you didn't know that. We usually just talk during Dear, but Mrs. Rock doesn't care. I'm reading Treasure Island. But I haven't read enough to start liking it. When we get up to sanitize our hands before lunch, Jamie claps her hands together with a whole bunch in her hands and it splashes all over the room. It was so funny and Mrs. Rock didn't even notice.
Lunch.
I don't know why, but half of the kids in our grade run to the lunch room. It's not like lunch is anything special, but lunch, you sit at a crowded table and eat all of your food as fast as you can and you try not to look like your rushing. I never finish my lunch. But we just finish eating during recess. I'm not a big fan of standing or sitting outside in the cold for 15 minutes every single day.
6th period.
Science. I hate science. It's my least favorite subject. My teacher, Mrs. Bevethor, says we are going to do a lab activity. We have to work in groups, by table actually. And, of course, Josh sits across from me. He's actually entertaining. Once he made me laugh so hard i started to cry, and I can't even remember what was so funny. Probably something that wasn't even funny, I have a bad sense if humor. And he laughs at me whenever that happens, which makes me laugh even more. I'm surprised I haven't died from laughter yet. We get to work with modeling clay in Science. We get to make whatever we want, Dylan (the really fat kid in our grade) decided to try making a snowman, and he evidently.. Couldn't get his balls the right size. The whole class burst out laughing! Even Mrs. Bevethor! She said that's why she loves teaching 7th grade.
7th period.
Language Arts. Not
my best subject, even though I still have an A. Not that it's hard, most of the time, it's just that our teacher is really strict. Her name is Mrs. Engman. We get to do Study Island today. I hate Study Island, it's so boring! All you do is answer questions and play dumb games.
Study Hall.
You never know how alone your are until your the only person sitting at your table, that's how I feel right now. I'm the person sitting at my table. But at least I'll be able to focus in my math homework.
Lets see, I think to myself, 47-29(56+32) equals..
"Need some help?"
I turn around. It's Josh.
"I'm pretty sure I can manage doing my own homework."
"Ok, but it equals-"
"Don't tell me! I can do it myself.." I say, jokingly.
He starts walking away, "Okay."
He turns back around, "Are you walking home, with Abby?"
"Duh, who else would I walk home with?"
"Oh, do you care if I walk home with ya..?"
I hesitate, did he really just say that..?
"Uh, sure. Meet us out front after school."
"Ok, see ya then."
