Good morning! It's Monday, but we have the day off! Yippee! I run downstairs an grab a donut. I sat on the couch and turned on the Bubble Guppies.
(TV Sounds)
BUBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLE!
GUPPIE GUPPIE GUPPIES!
BUBBLE BUBBLE! GUPPIES GUPPIES!
clap, clap
BUBBLE GUPPIES!
After I finish my donut I walk up the stairs and take a shower.
Tick- Tock. Tick- Tock.
I pull on my Bulldog sweatpants and my volleyball t-shirt after I get out of the shower. I dry my hair and sit in my room. I grab my phone, headphones, a sweatshirt, and my moccasins and headed outside to go for a walk. I hear a door open and close behind me. I turn around and see Abby.
"Hey girl hey!" She says. "Where ya going?"
"I don't know just going for a walk.."
"Oh cool." She says walking next to me.
"So did you get invited to Josh's birthday party?" I ask.
"Yeah, are you going?" Abby asks.
"Yeah probably.." I say.
"Did you know that he's going to send you a flower for Valentines day?" She said.
"He's not going to." I say. "He doesn't even like me, probably not even like a friend."
"Uh huh. Sure! The way he looks at you.. I just know you two are going to date someday.."
She smiles.
"Yeah, keep dreaming cause we're just friends."
"I'm serious! You two would be SO cute together!" She says.
"Abby you've said that like, a million times. And plus even if he did like me he would ask me out or something.." I say.
"He's just scared you'll say no. Have you ever noticed how shy he is around you?"
"Ha! Josh, shy?! Your hilarious!" I say laughing.
"It's true!" She says. "And you know it too. You just don't want to admit it."
"We're just friends Abby." I say for the millionth time.
"Oh yeah? Then why was e so jealous when he found out you were writing a letter to Austin for Valentines Day? Hmm?"
"I don't know.."
"If you can't see how much he likes you, your blind!" Abby says.
We walk down the road to the Coffee Pub. I get a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a cheery on top. Abby gets a cookies and cream blender. We walk back outside and walk towards the city park.
"This thing is SO GOOD!" Abby says, her drink already half gone.
"Gees! Slow down! Your gonna choke!" I say laughing.
"But it's so good!"
"It better be! I paid my hard earned money for that!" I say.
"Don't worry I'll pay ya back."
"I know you will."
"So, lets get back on topic." She takes a drink. "Josh is perfect for you! Like absolutely perfect! You too almost danced together at the last school dance! And you know he wanted to!"
"I know. But the key word is almost. We almost danced. But we didn't. So it doesn't matter anymore." I say.
We walk down the hill to the park. And just to Abby's luck. Evan and Tyler are sitting under the gazebo.
"Hey guys!" Abby says while pulling my arm towards them.
We sit across the table from them.
"Hi." Evan says.
I take a sip of my still warm coco.
"So why are you guys all the way across town?" Tyler asks.
"We were just going or a walk and decided to see I anybody was here, even though its like five degrees below zero." Abby says. "And we went to the Coffee Pub."
"Then where's ours?" Evan asks.
"Well we kind of didn't know you were here so.. It's still at the Coffee Pub." I say.
"Jee your such good friends." Tyler says.
"We'll we would've gotten you some if we had known you were here.." Abby said.
"No actually you still wouldn't have." Evan says.
"Yeah your right.." Abby says with a broad smile on her face.
I always knew she had a thing for Evan. And he probably feels the same way about her.
I space off letting them talk with each other. I hear my name a few times by I don't care. I drink more of my coco. It's so delicious! I feel the warm, creamy coco run down m throat with every sip.
I hear a distant voice. "Payton?"
"Huh?" I say coming back to reality.
"Evan says that Josh told him that he's going to ask you to the dance Friday." Abby says. "I told you he was gonna ask you."
"That's awesome." I say. "But if I go with him you should go with Evan." I say looking over at Evan.
His face has turned bright red. I laugh inside.
Abby shoots him a glance.
"Sure, that'd be cool, we could go as a group too." He says, his red cheeks turning back to their original color.
"Yeah we so should!" Abby says. "But we can't leave Tyler out!"
"Hmm who would make a good date for Tyler?" Evan says while looking at Tyler.
"I know who.." I say. "Racheal. She would be happy to join our group."
"Yeah Tyler, how bout that?" Evan says.
"As long as you and Josh will be there I'm cool with it." He says. "Should I ask her or are you two going to tell her?"
"You should ask her." Abby says.
"But if you want us to we'll tell her." I say.
"Ok I'll tell you if I want you to ask her." Tyler says.
"The it's settled." Abby says. "We're all going together."
"But josh hasn't asked me yet.." I say.
"Trust me, he will." Says Evan.
We all get up and walk home. I walk to my room with a plate of pizza rolls and sit on my bed and watch TV.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
It's supper time. We're having leftovers. I pour some chicken noodle soup into a bowl and make a salad. I sit down at the counter and eat my supper. After I'm finished I rinse off my dishes and head up to bed.
Nighty- night!
