So, this is my 200th Opuss! Yay! I decided to write a long chapter of my story! Thanks so much to everyone who commented with their great ideas about what I should do, I might use them in the future.
Chapter 5
Meeting
All afternoon I was worrying about what would happen tonight, I was excited and dreading it at the same time. My friends might leave me alone with him, that would be so awkward. I would just ignore him like I usually do, although that probably wouldn't work because I was the one who agreed to go with them. Oops.
"Scarlett....? Wakey, Wakey!" Lily tried to awake me from daydreaming.
"Oh sorry," I giggled.
"It's the end of the day! The bell just went!" Lily exclaimed. I looked around and saw everyone crowding round the door.
"Oh!" I gasped.
By the time I got home, it was 3:35pm. I redid my make up and hair in 10 minutes, informed my mum that I was going out and hurried to the park. Leon and all his friends were already there by the time I arrived. Paige and Amber were there too, chatting, no doubt about me as they looked at me when I arrived at the park.
"Scarlett!" Paige shouted.
I was about to reply when I heard my mobile ring. It was Lily.
"Hey Lily. Is everything ok?" I asked, concerned.
"No, I feel ill. I have a really bad headache so I'm just gonna stay home. You go to the park. Have fun," Lily groaned.
I groaned quietly. I had been counting on Lily to keep my company, it would be so awkward without her.
"Oh no...should I stay with you?" I asked, hopefully.
"No, Scarlett. You go, tell me about it at school tomorrow,"
"Ok, ok, hope you feel better soon. Cya," I sighed.
"Bye," Lily coughed.
No, no, no. I turned round and started to head back home, I didn't want to stay without Lily.
"Hey, Scarlett!" I recognised Leon's voice.
"I'm going home!" I shouted.
Leon jogged to where I was and grabbed my arm gently.
"Please stay!" he pleaded.
I grimaced at his request. I didn't really want to stay, but I couldn't let him down. Leon had been so hopeful, when I'd said yes today.
"Ok!" I replied.
Leon smiled and led me over to where his friends and now Amber and Paige were waiting.
"Right, girls, have you ever heard of fun?" Joe (one of Leon's friends) asked sarcastically.
"Haha, of course we have!" Amber replied, her eyes sparkling.
Me and Paige exchanged startled looks. It appeared that Amber liked Joe, we said nothing though.
"We are talking about proper fun!" Leon grinned.
"Like?" I questioned, curiously.
"Like dares!" Joe smirked.
I was actually quite excited about this, it looked as if Paige was as well. Everyone sprawled on the grass and waited for Amber to decide the first dare.
"Joe. I dare you to...stand beside the road and start singing a slow song while people are driving past!" she finally said, smiling.
"But it's a warm evening! Everyone will have their windows down!" Joe protested.
"Chicken!" Sam (another of Joe's friends) boomed.
Joe narrowed his eyes, and frowned. He looked like one of those people who couldn't stand being called a 'chicken'. Grinning, he walked out and began to loudly sing a song that would be played at a wedding. It was awful.
"OK! OK! Please stop before we all die of pain!" I laughed.
Leon laughed. A strand of my hair blew out of the bun I put it in and before I had time to tuck it behind my ear someone else did. Leon. I blushed and coughed awkwardly while everyone laughed at the expression on my face.
We did lots more dares, all about different hilarious things, until my phone rang again.
"Hello?" I said, I knew it was Lily.
"Um...Scarlett, you might want to come round now," Lily whispered.
"Lily! What is it?" I panicked.
"Come see for yourself..." Lily said quietly.
I snapped my phone shut and ran out the park to Lily's house. Everyone called my name as I ran, but I didn't stop, I needed to get to Lily's house...
I'm sorry, I said it was going it be long, but I left it on a cliffhanger instead!
"Please stay!" he pleaded.
