Max's Point Of View (I thought it might be fun to do one chapter in his point of view after 6 of Violet's for a bit of a change up. Not sure if I'll keep it this way, but I really wanted to write from his point of view for a little bit)
The first day back at school was great. Let me tell you all about it.
The day started off with homeroom in which I had Ethan in my class. And LiVi was also there. That's what we've nicknamed the inseparable bond of Lily and Violet. They're kinda like Ethan and me, except, well, girls. We were just talking about how cool it would be to double date or something, when our homeroom teacher Ms. Tarri started talking and we had to listen.
Next period was Science in Room 36. I was kinda mumbling to myself about it when V turned back and looked at me. I hope she couldn't tell, but I blushed a little.
When our Science teacher was assigning seats, I heard V's named called and I was secretly wishing I could sit next to her, when I heard my name called and realized my wish had come true! I took my seat and Violet turned around and smiled shyly and said hey. I tried to play it cool even though I was exploding inside. She asked me how my summer was and I replied vaguely "Pretty good. Went to Florida for a week." and then she told me how she had mostly just stayed in town but did go to Michigan for a weekend. After that I wanted to keep talking, but I just didn't know what to say, so we needed up just kinda sitting there awkwardly until class started. V seemed to be popping up everywhere. She was also in my French class. And then later in both Math and English. I was glad that I could spend some time with her. And Ethan had English with me, too. Plus we had the greatest teacher ever, Mr. Lennit. I think I'm gonna look forward to the end of the day now. Overall I think the first day of eighth grade went very well.
