have you ever had a guy come up to you, hug you and converse with you for a while, then right when he's about to go, he leans in and whispers in your ear, "I love you."? and not over text, straight up, in person.
because, well, I had that happen to me today. today was the last day of school for me. I'm now going into eighth grade. that was my friend, Casey, who I've talked about now in the majority of my Opusses. usually he texts me every single day, but we rarely ever talk at school. don't ask me why, I don't know. but I wanted him to sign my yearbook and he said no. so after school he was sitting on a bench with this girl he liked and I was sitting on a table, in the after school program. I was just scarfing down my sandwich, because I was literally hungry, and he was listening to music on his phone, dancing. trying to make me laugh, I assumed. so we would lock eyes for a bit, but if you knew me, you'd know I don't really like taking things seriously all the time. I couldn't help but laugh at him. next thing I know, he came over and sat next to me.
"hey Bella, can we be friends again?"
"we already are though..?"
"can we be friends?"
"um okay."
note* I was faced the other direction.
"Bella, look at me while you're talking to me."
"-hands covering face-"
"-puts hand on mine, trying to grab my fingers so my hand doesn't hide me-"
"oh and sorry for not wanting to do the friendship bracelet thing. you didn't buy me one and I didn't buy you one."
"-laughs- I wasn't going to buy you one anyways."
"I'm gonna miss you, Bella. -stands up and reaches out his arms-"
"-hugs him firmly, not too long, not too short, then sits down-"
"-leans in, cups his hand around my ear- I love you, Bella. Bye. -smiles-"
"oh my gosh. -smiles-"
"-walks away, still looking, still smiling-"
"-smiling like an idiot, kinda blushing-"
yeah. :) I guess you could say I was happy.
