In The End

I'm not afraid to go
When the end comes
A journey I have been through
It's time for me to go
A heart breaking goodbye
A lonely road traveled by one
On a lonely night when I fade away
Into the bleak history
A mere person with no true value
A commoner a civilian
Who will remember me in the end
When all comes to an end
My battles are done
Flesh and bone have bleed
This is nearly over
I'm not afraid to die
Tears will fall
But from these eyes none will drip
I'm not afraid
I'm content and ready for a farewell of the trumpets
As I walk away
On this lonely road into the night
As I fade away
Hear the creaking
And the whispers of empty promises
In the end ill leave
As my heart is done with its war
And the final shot is shot
As the drummer boy stops his drum
And the feet stop their march
And the saints pray for the sinners
In the end
My story is near the ending
A final chapter which the last word a goodbye
Will you remember my goodbye
In the end as you seal this book for good…

I missed this one. Sad but so well written. Reposting as it should have more likes.
