My Spiritual Journey

This journey is long
This journey is mine
It started as a grain of sand
At the beginning of time

Obstacles and challenges
Obstruct my way
I adhere to the principles
That guide me day by day

Belief in a purpose
Beyond my earthly view
The resolve of my convictions
Is shared by a few

Family, friends and teachers
All play their part
Together with knowing
What feels right in my heart

Mindful of purposes
I am yet to find
I walk through the labyrinth
The prison of time

Thanks to those who've helped me
And those who have not
For your challenges and support
Have made me what I am not

My hope is to one day share my soul
With all I may encounter
So that my fellow travellers
May flourish and not flounder

And so my journey continues
Just as it starts
A small spark of light
Not eclipsed by the dark

@ALLINRHYME

Hi my name is Jonathan Joseph, I am 36 years old living in Warrington, Cheshire with my two children. I was inspired to start writing rhymes and poems again some twenty years after leaving school, maybe its taken me that long to find my voice again?

Change...

We may not understand it, or even want it to happen soon... Things can be set for the morning but could have changed by the afternoon. We can't always stop anything from twisting out of shape.

Paper Airplanes

I'll save myself, I'll re-arrange my life, No need for someone else, No need for all this strife. I'll learn to love, I'll learn to live, I'll learn to be kind, I'll learn to give.

Moetry

The man I once was. I am not the man I thought I was. Just a shell an empty farce. Turned insecurities into funny masks. Never lived up to any task. It took to loose what I could bare to not.

Facing Facts

Today happened And it wasn't like before. Yesterday I left my problems at the door. Funny how things change. Leave an imprint in your brain. Nothing ever remains the same.
