Burned

A sickening sound and the stifling smokey smell. I glanced up feverishly, as a tear trickled down my face. Whilst the Housemother smiled; taking pleasure from every tainted feeling that was shown on my face. Bravely, I tried to stop the downpour, but the crackling from the fire brought fresh pain. Those were my books, my photos and my family locket. All disappearing into the flames.
Suddenly, hands grabbed me from behind and dragged me out of the room. I struggled, but only to prevent suspicion, as I would take my revenge.

-Stella- I paced back and forth in my room. I knew he was coming. I just knew it. I heard footsteps in the backyard. He was here. The only thing I could think of doing was pretending to be asleep.

In the darkness eyes watch with deadly precision. Metal gleaming through the shattered window. Crimson pooling in one big puddle. A silent scream forever etched in to her face. Never to be answered.
