March, Chapter 4

A woman is pulling Kat away from Tessa and Keleb in the middle of Wellington.
"Stop!" Tessa screams as a man comes up and ties her arms together. "Stop!"
Another man does the same to Keleb, and Kat wails to them as the woman pulls her away from both of them.
"Stop!" I yell and run straight to the woman. She doesn't even glance at me as I try to take her out, but fail. I bounce back, startled. Why didn't my tackle work? It always does!
Summer races up to the woman and peels Kat out of her arms with some struggle. I run up next to them and try to help by punching the small of the lady's back.
The woman shows no reaction to my tactics. Huh? Summer pushes Kat at me as she takes down the woman. I hold Kat close as Summer kicks the lady hard in the face, then pinches her nerve so she passes out. Summer stands there, panting, as the woman falls over backwards.
"She had a body suit on that protects her from anything that hit her body." Summer explains to me and Kat. I nod as Kat cries.
"What?" I ask her.
"Tessa and Keleb!!" She screams. I forgot about them! My head spins around and I spot a black shoe disappearing into a corner.
"There!" We run towards the corner. I turn it and find Keleb and Tessa tied up with two men holding them. They try to shake free, but can't.
"Hmmmm!' Tessa squirms.
"Hmmumm!" Keleb shakes.
I run straight at the men, glad to find out that they don't have body suits on. I tackle one and Summer takes care of other.
I knock the guy out and Summer does the same. I run over to Keleb and Tessa.
"Mm- Thanks." Tessa says as I untie her gag.
"Your welcome. Um... How did you get out here?" I say.
"They took us." Keleb answers when Summer unties his gag.
"How did they get you?" Summer asks.
"I don't know..." Tessa admits.
"Oh."
"One second we were sleeping, the next we were in a helicopter."
"Okay. They took you while you were sleeping."
Kat nods. "Then we escaped but then they found us and then you guys came... It was scary!"
I laugh. "Let's go."
"Wait!" Summer stops me. "We have nowhere to go."
"Good point."
Summer looks around for a second, then looks at me. Her eyes sparkle. Ugh! "Follow me." Then she does the same to Kat, Tessa, and Keleb.
We follow her through the sidewalks of Wellington, then finally reach a building. There's a sign in front that says 'Kozy Times Motel.'
I gape at the motel. First of all, they spelled cozy wrong. Then there's the boards on the windows, graffiti on the walls, and the hole in the roof.
"You can't be serious." I gasp.
"Eldonist won't find us here." Summer smiles.
"You better be right..."

. . . . . .

Summer checked us in at the front desk as me, Kat, Keleb, and Tessa explored.
"Is that a popcorn machine?!" Kat runs over to a little glass box on wheels. There's a parrot inside it.
"Uh, no." Keleb answers.
I spot a flat screen TV on the wall, so I pick up a remote and turn it on. Nothing happens. I look closer and find a giant hole in the middle of it. Ick.
Summer comes over to us. "We're in rooms 3 & 4." She walks towards the rooms and sidesteps a mysterious stain in the carpet. We have two rooms.
Kat, Tessa, Keleb and I all walk to room 3 together. I tenitivly push open the door and find that it's not too bad in there. There's a box TV on a crooked rolling cart, a bed that sags in the middle, and a spotty dresser. I open up one drawer and find an old, moldy wheel of blu cheese with 4 mice surrounding it. I scream and jump back. Tessa comes up to me and laughs.
"Let's let Summer take that cheese out," she says as she shuts the drawer. I close my eyes and cover my nose, trying to get rid of that cheesy smell.
We decide to go check out room 4. Keleb pushes open the door and screams. I reluctantly jump ahead of him, since I'm trained, and find a man who looks like a hobo sitting on a ripped couch watching our TV.
"OUT!!!" I screech, breathing hard. The hobo turns to us, grabs a bag, and jumps out the window, which has no glass in it.
Tessa has tears streaming down her face. Wow. I look at Kat and she has some weird, happy look on her face. Why? Just... Why?
I flop down on the smelly bed and it makes a moaning sound. I don't care.
Why is Summer making us stay here? This is way worse than the abandoned house in the United States. By a lot.
