1. He showed her to his room, it was simple and small, shabby but seemingly clean. There was nothing else apart from a single bed, and oddly, a bowl full of shattered glass.
"you can stay here from now on" the man said
She looked at him questionably
"and you?" she asked
he gestured towards the kitchen chair.
"I don't sleep much" the ghosts await him there.
She looked back towards the bowl of glass, the man caught her glimpse and started to head out.
"I'll answer questions tomorrow" he said before she could ask further,
"do you want the door open?"
She shook her head, the door shut closed.
What was to emerge as shadow became utter darkness.
