Growing up he was a stranger
In a place they called his home
A son and a brother
But made to feel alone
They were all so happy
Such a perfect little group
And there were times when even he
Felt wanted by the troop
But the happy times were few
And often far between
Because in his mind was darkness
That from outside went unseen
The darkness that consumed him
Was forged from all the pain
The things they did in shadows
He'd never be the same
But worst of all the question
Of why it had been him
Why wasn't he shown any love
Why won't they let him in
Instead the man that hurt him
The man that they called dad
Told him he abused him
Because he had been bad
Of course the child believed him
He was only just a boy
In the hands of such a monster
A defenseless little toy
Now the guilt and shame consumes him
He tries so hard to deal
But he's always outside looking in
So his pain can never heal
