Dear Friend

Dear Friend,

We were told to write letters today. I don't know what about and I didn't know who to but they told us. I know we never spoke much but I thought it would be appropriate to write to you, seeing as I've known you for a long time. Maybe when I get back, if I ever do, then we could be friends. Or if you don't want that, we could at least talk more, or just say hi when we see each other. I'd like that. Maybe sometime soon I will write to you again, tell you where I am and what I'm doing. Maybe. Anyway, thanks for reading this, well I hope you have read it.
