Nightshade Part 2

But I wasn't dead. Was I? My heart rate quickened and my lungs began to burn. Stupid nightshade. I had no idea what it was
but I hated it with all my heart. The song grew louder, stronger until my ears hurt just from listening. I could hear the beat of a drum and the whistling of a flute. Above me, shapes floated in and out of my vision, confusing me. The pain had subsided but my mind and vision were still useless. What was happening? Suddenly the song stopped and I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my chest. It was unbearable, I let out a strange noise, like a firework before it's exploded. My hands found their way to my chest, where they found a dagger. My mind whirred. This was bad. I grabbed frantically at it trying to pull it out, with no luck. The world went fuzzy and I could feel myself slipping away. Darkness.

Is this okay? Please comment with suggestions for improvements and ideas for the next part!

Very good! (although the screaming like a cat simile could be better I think, like a firework?) very interested to see how you're gonna continue!

@harokaz thanks! I'll change the cat thing.
