Song Of The Trapped Ladybird.

Trapped inside a jam jar,
Not yet to know my fate,
Only waiting, time will tell,
For it could be too late,

The glass is cold and shiny,
But the air is thick and warm,
Sickly sweet, no oxygen,
The calm before the storm,

Minutes left, lost to despair,
Locked away from the sun,
It seems as though my time is up,
Although it's just begun,

So take in mind, please listen well,
We all want to be free,
Jam jars aren't the best of homes,
Just use your eyes and see,

We aren't pets, we need the light,
The sun, the breeze, the air,
So think twice before you trap,
And a life, you will spare.
