My music tastes are interesting,
Not what's classed as 'cool',
You see, it's rather different,
From the other kids at school,

I don't like pop,
Rapping and dance,
It really does annoy me,
Puts me in a trance,

Listening to music,
It makes me calm, it relaxes me,
I like listening to quiet stuff,
Not loud rock, you see,

I don't have a lot of music,
On my iPod, yes it's true,
But I like the songs I've got,
Not many, just a few,

You see, I like a lot of music,
Both of new and old,
Mostly listen to alternative,
Not the music I'm told,

Stereotypes say I'm meant to like,
Rap and pop, really loud,
But, I really hate this idea,
And of that I am proud,

Stereotypes are wrong,
We don't need to follow rules,
Traipsing behind a leader,
Being lost forgotten mules,

Everyone is different,
And likes different things,
We shouldn't be judged on what we like,
And on the stuff we sing,

So, go on out there,
Sing it loud,
And of your music,
Go on, be proud!
