Tit For Tat

It matters not if chicken preceded egg
What matters is they depend upon each other.
It matters greatly that children are forced to beg
It matters not the sins of father and mother.

Circle within circle, never ending loops in time
Harsh lessons never learnt while history repeating.
One destructive force tumbling down descendants line
Hatred upon hatred forgets who they are defeating.

Revenge and retribution feed upon their own nations
Will they ever learn a better way than that?
Too busy looking back in anger to embrace future relations
No hope for peace in a world still lost in tit for tat.

Let no god nor colour of skin divide the love for fellow man
Let greed for wealth and land be a thing of the past.
Discard old enmity to make way for a better plan
Do it now and spread the word, before man breathes his last.
