I found a toad in my garden today
An ugly amphibian I have to say
It was sitting under a mossy stone
Enjoying the peace, all alone.
I felt an intruder in its personal space
Though I had plans for this little place
This squatter really had to go
Not environmentally friendly I know.
The problem was it made my skin crawl
This bundle of slime, warts n all.
I wanted it gone so had no choice
Made my son lift it , he's now man of the house.

Getting there, one step at a time
I wrapped you up in paper again. Found comfort from the smell of fresh paint. And the luxurious fluff beneath my feet. The shiny steel cooks the feast. Then I lay down on the clean cotton sheets.
Standing in a shower of summer rain. Wish it had power to wash away my pain. Let its river soak me to the skin. Want to provoke a response within. Drenched in a deluge while heavens open.
Rain splatters, Potter patter, Any harder, The window will shatter. Pouring down, Creating puddles, Sunbathers, In many muddles. Falling from, The now black sky, Blocking out, The shining pie.
Running in the snow, Faces aglow, Children will sing, About anything, Yet snow turns to frost, The cold is lost, Alas, here is spring, What a wonderful thing. #nature.

@zoe_landauer reread what you have, think of where you want to go with it and then how to get there but don't be in a rush, plenty of fill in. I will have another read and post some questions the story makes me ask π
