Chapter Ten
Afraid To Love Forever
"Oh S-Serena! What are you doing here? Is everything okay?" Caden asked. "Oh I wanted to meet your sister. I bet she's lovely" said Serena.
"That's awesome to hear Kassandra" Serena said. Kassandra nodded. "Kass that reminds me, you and I are going to dinner tonight...just us". Said Caden. Serena cocked her head and smiled. "Why don't I join you?" she said.
Caden faked smiled."Of course!"
The next week,
"Man,I already miss Kassandra" Gavin said. Caden nodded. He then shivered when he got a text from Serena. It read:"Hey baby,I need to talk to you. There's a problem we need to solve".
Later that night,
Caden walked to the park where Serena wanted him to be at. He bit his lips. He his heart was beating fast. He didn't why he was scared. Having the thought that Serena would hurt him was horrifying but he remembered those passed two months since their first date. He didn't know she was a vampire but he still had issues with her like any other couple.
Serena never hurt him. So why would she hurt him now?
"Hey Serena" Caden said nervously. "Caden,you seem so different ever since I told you I was a vampire. Why are you afraid of me? I'm not going to hurt you. I would never ever hurt you". Serena sounded hurt while she spoke. Caden sighed. "Its not that I'm scared of you hurting me,I'm scared of..." he didn't know if he should say it. "You're scared of what then?" Serena asked while tears were forming in her eyes. "I'm afraid to be with you forever. I mean I'm only eighteen. I never really did have a serious relationship for after only dating for two months. Don't take this the wrong way. I mean I love you but I think you're moving a little too fast". Caden felt his cheeks turn red after he said that. Serena looked at him. "Because I'm vampire? I'm pretty sure you were thinking it but you never said it". "Well what do you want me to say? Of course that's why. Don't you get it? Can't you read my mind? I'm horrified by the words you said! But I never wanted to hurt you. And with that Caden left,leaving Serena devastated.
At Serena's house
Serena was feeling sarrow. "Why am I so stupid? I should've known he felt that way. I can't believe I pressured him like that. I'll always love him...no matter what...and i hope he feels the same way soon. Serena's eyes turned red and instead of wet and salty tears,streams of blood came running down her face.
