To sleep out one warm night under the stars,
To see a human set foot on Mars.
To stand in a place where nobody's been,
To see a thing that nobody's seen.
To sail all round an island chain fair,
then to weigh anchor and go swimming there.
To drive through New Zealand and swim in their lakes,
to invent a zero calorie cake.
To visit Antarctica and stay overnight,
to sit in a glider- at least for one flight.
To get married perhaps in a garden or grove,
to be the proud owner of an Aga stove.
To snorkel along the Great Barrier Reef,
maybe to scuba and dive underneath.
To stay over night in a berth on a train,
to fly for a trip on a private plane.
To write my first novel and see it in print,
to get some of my hair dyed with a pink tint.
There may be some that it looks like I've missed,
I'm fortunate to have lots I've crossed off my list.
