As the sisters
Take their flight
The dark feathers fading
From our sight
As they soar high
Into the air
All humans do
Is stand and stare.
Turn their heads
To witness them soar
Although it stops
When the winds roar.
The winds push
The sisters away
With their performance
Withering to grey.
If you say the sisters
Are just black
Then in sight
You do lack.
Sun shines on them
Causing colours galore
On their black canvas
Purples and blues explore
The sisters' beak
So long and sharp
And shinier too
Then the scales of koi carp.
So when you see
The ravens fly
Pause for a moment
And remember why
These birds are so
Magnificent and graceful
While most humans are
Just arrogant and wasteful.
