Shadow

I am the shadow, hidden from sight,
I am the creature that lurks in the night,

I am always there, no matter what you see,
I am the thing that makes even darkness flee,

I am the blackness, the void, the dark,
I shall never fade and always hit my mark,

I am the fear of all things that breathe,
I am the question making philosophers seethe,

I am the raindrop, one in a million,
But I shall never be noticed, by one of earth's billions,

I am in front of, above, between,
I am behind you, and you have never seen.
