Her Name Is Imagined Infinity

There is a girl I know,
Her name is Imagined Infinity,
Her friends at school call her
Universe, Celestial Star, and Man's Destiny,
She has eyes so fathomless, lost in
blind divinity,
That when I look into them, I see
Myself reflected in imagined infinity.
'Do you love me?' She asks, her words drifting,
Wistfully through a void of such darkness,
It feels me with fear, instability, a longing for her,
Unashamedly wishing I had her ability,
To conjure worlds, to magic life, to imagine
Man peering into her eyes, weeping uncontrollably,
Recognising God, inadvertently
Recognising myself, intimately
In her name.
Her name is Imagined Infinity.

A Life To Love

~ I wrote this when I was 17ish and wasn't really into poetry. I just found it crammed in my documents and thought I'd digitalise it (for the planet and all :P) It's pretty crap.
