It was official. I was a couple days past 5 months pregnant. I was starting to get big and you could defiantly tell I was pregnant. I gained about 15 pounds. The doctor said it was normal considering I was under weight before the pregnancy . I now weighed 119 pounds. I felt extremely fat even though I'm still under weight. Nick was driving us to the GYN to have an ultra sound and find out the sex of the baby. I couldn't wait! I know this is crazy but I wasn't nervous at all. I looked over at Nick beaming. He was so adorable! Ahhh I'm hyper. I giggled to myself.
"What is it?" Nick asked.
"You're so adorable!" I squealed like a little girl. Nick chuckled. I leaned over and kissed his cheek, trying not to distract him from the road. A few minutes later Nick announced we were there. I got out of the car and walked in with Nick by my side. While Nick went to the front desk and told them all the information needed, I sat down in the waiting room. I hummed to myself,while rubbing my stomach. I could wait for my little peanut to come out. Then I wouldn't have to worry about my back aching, or my feet, or feeling fat. I sighed to myself. Nick came over a few minutes later and we just sat in silence until the doctor called us. Nick and I followed her into a room and I laid back on the cot.
"Pull up your shirt." Dr. Schwartz (The doctor) said sweetly. I obeyed and pulled up my shirt just below my breasts. Nick sat beside me in a chair and held my hand tightly.
"This might be a little cold." She said as she applied this dark blue cold jell on my over flated stomach. I felt a chill go down my back as the it hit my warm skin. She waved this wand thing and put it on my stomach. She pointed to the screen and I looked up. She pointed at all these body parts naming them as she went. I was so happy. It felt so real. I could feel tears prickling at my eyes. I started crying.
"What's wrong?" Nick asked.
"They are happy tears." I smiled up at him. He smiled back at me and I saw the tears start in his eyes.
"Would you guys like to know the sex?" She asked.
"Yes." I replied, looking at Nick. I could tell something was wrong, before I could say anything Dr.Schwartz interrupted.
"It's a....."
