Smells Like Teen Spirit. (Chapter 42)

It was Saturday and I just woke up. It has been a little over a week since I went to the doctors, to find out the sex of the baby just for Nick to tell me he didn't want to know. It was a bummer. It was around noon. I did something I never expected, I texted Becca, Carmen, and Taylor. It has been almost 5 months since I have talked to them. I decided that I needed some girl time.

Do you want to go shopping? -Annie

I waited for a reply from the 3 of them. Two minutes passed and finally I got 3 text messages saying yes. (Yes I'm inpatient.) I giggled to myself. I texted the 3 of them back.

Let's meet up at the mall in an hour -Annie

I got in the shower and got dressed. I straightened my hair and put on eyeliner, mascara, blush, and foundation. I had to look good! I went outside and saw that it was really nice out. There were clear skies and a small breeze. I hopped into my car (Nick bought me a little while after his car broke down that one time.) It was perfect. I loved it! It was a purplish shade. (weird, I know.) It was a little mini car that only fit four people. I turned on the car and drove off to the mall. When I got there, I saw Becca, Carmen, and Taylor at the front of the mall waiting for me. I ran up to them and hugged all of them.
"I missed you guys so much!" I said with enthusiasm.
"We missed you too!" Carmen piped up.
"Wow, you have gotten big." Becca said.
"Yeah I have gained like 17 pounds. I feel huge." I said.
"Haha." Taylor teased.
"Ok, well let's get in there and shop!" Carmen said excited.
"First let's go shopping for baby clothes and then maternity clothes for me. If we have time after all of that we can go shopping for cribs and stuff." I said.
"Is the baby a boy or girl?" Becca asked.
"Nick didn't want to know, he wanted it to be a surprise." I replied.
"Oh, that sucks." Taylor said.
"Yeah a lot. Just shop for boy and girl clothes, maybe something yellow or something that is for boys and girls." I said.
"Ok." They all agreed.
We ran into the store and shopped our butts off.

I got home around 4 hours later. I had at least 12 bags of clothes. I went to Nick and I's room and sat them down by the closet. I didn't feel like putting them up right now. I lay back down on the bed exhausted. I must of fell asleep because I felt Nick climb into the bed and cuddle up with me and we drifted of to sleep.

Nick and I woke up around 7p.m.
"I'm starving!" I said.
"Me too."
Nick and I went down stairs and helped each other cook dinner. We made tacos! For some reason I was having cravings for Mexican food. When dinner was done, we both sat down and ate. I ate a lot more than usual, I ate 3 tacos and ate Half of Nick's second taco. I also drank a bottle of water. Nick cleaned up dinner and I sat down on the couch and rested while rubbing my stomach. I felt the baby kick a few times. The baby was a hard kicker. Shortly after that Nick came down and sat with me.
"I just noticed, we haven't talked about baby names." I said.
"We should right now." Nick said.
"Ok, well I was thinking about the name Selena for a girl."
"Eww, I don't like that name, I was thinking of Andrew for a boy."
"I like Andrew."
"How about Violet for a girl."
"I like it, it's just too girly."
"And Selena isn't?" Nick teased.
"Shut up." I said as I playfully smacked him.
"I also like the name Joseph."
"I don't want my kid to have a name out of the bible. I'm Christian, it's just I think it's kind of glitch, I don't know."
"Yeah I agree." Nick agreed with me.
"Ok, well I'm going to sleep. I'm tired." I said sleepily.
"I figured." Nick chuckled.
I got in some pajamas without bothering to take a shower tonight and got in bed. Nick followed me and I fell asleep quickly, wrapped up in his arms. He made me feel safe and protected. I never felt this way before...
