This one is a little more abstract than most of my poems, but I was trying something new.
S-ee me rise! Alive! Awake! No longer cursed to sleep
N-o, I didn't need your kiss to break my slumber deep.
O-nly...I thought that you could one day be the one from my storybooks
W-hen, for a time, you stayed with me for love and not for looks.
W-hile I lived? You slept! You died! Now age will slowly creep
H-ere, I've sown my sinful seeds and now I go to reap.
I...I watched you grow more beautiful and forgot what once I knew
T-hat, from within, not from without, is the beauty I saw in you
E-ven as Snow might not be White, so might the Truth not always be Right.
