Chapter 7.
Posters of Me
I didn't realise just how much the Peterson's were missing me.
As normal, I was following my directions and walking, when I came across something unusual. Small posters on trees everywhere. Who would put up posters on the motorway? No-one would even see them! I picked up one of them from the soil and read it out loud.
MISSING
Jessica Bentley
Long brown hair, blue eyes, tall, slim and has a spot on her neck.
Might be carrying a large, purple backpack.
If found, known or seen- please RSVP to 0472769837 or email philipeterson1978@gmail.com
Her family is missing her ALOT!
There was a picture of me down the bottom of the poster, then in small letters it read: "REWARD-£50"
I tucked a poster into my bag and pulled down the rest. If anyone saw these (especially Farmer Ted) I was going to be with the Peterson's again! But that is not going to happen.
I ripped the posters, scrunched them up, folded them into tiny squares and then threw them in a small hole in the ground. I covered up the hole and scattered leaves and twigs around it. Hopefully no one will find them.
