I'm away with the fairies
So don't come looking for me.
I'm away with the fairies
To drink gingerbread iced tea.
I'm away with the fairies
And I'm going to have a ball
Because when you're with the fairies
You can just forget it all.
You can dance whenever you want to
And wear purple and red,
You can wear seventeen hats
And not care about what's said,
You can survive on jars of pickles
And honeysuckle juice,
You can rent an old spitfire
And just fly loop-de-loops,
You can wear two left shoes
And tightrope walk around the place,
You can tie your hair in twenty bunches
And wear clown make-up on your face,
You can collect last years papers
And keep thirty cats
And wear necklaces made of sausages,
The fairies don't mind that.
So I'm away with the fairies,
You can come too
Because, sooner or later,
You'll want to join them too.
