Buses

I look around our little bus,
My Mecca over the years
But all of you slipped through my grasp
As I tried to hold just one near.
Mr M, the red-head
Hilarious, so dry
Now no longer looks my way
Shame, you were always a nice guy.
Then there's the Misses A and B
Who titter, snigger, stare
They never really liked me much,
Before now I didn't care.
Mr E is gone now
To uni in the town,
To do his art, his passion,
Ever the satirical clown.
Mr D always sleeps now,
And the lovely Mr J
Has drifted, though he's still slightly there
With me he's managed to stay,
But he's got other commitments,
The gorgeous Miss H,
Once a dear friend, so close
We no longer make
The jokes that we used to
Though our friendship is still there
But the once vivacious, coated ties
Have now all been stripped bare.
It's funny how in trying to save
I turned you all to ghosts,
And while I tried to cling to him
I lost the one's I loved the most.
