This weekend I'm little mummy,
My three-year-old cousin is down for two days.
I'll be the entertainer
And feeder and bather, no pay.
To some the reward's pretty frugal,
All I get is to see her wee smile
And hear her say all her silly wee things
And mutter in her sleep all the while,
Have cuddles and hear her sing.
But nothing's better than snuggling up bed
And watching Saturday morning TV together
Of course, not without Scruffy Ted.
There's nobody else in the world I know
Quite like this little gem,
With her little ways and her mad red hair
Let's just hope I don't shave it off again!
By the end of it all I'll be knackered
Once she's gone home, my little bud
But I will honestly say, while I wilt away
'What a wonderful weekend that was.'
