Chapter 3

I don't know what happened last night. It must have been a hallucination. I never knew they could be so real, I was physically dragged. But maybe I wasn't. Maybe it was just so realistic it felt like that. I just hated the coincidence, I guess.
I don't think any of us really slept last night. Blake and I had stayed up, he wanted to take me to the hospital, but I turned it down. It would probably help, but maybe I just made myself believe what True had told me.

I wanted to be alone for a while, to help me forget about things. I decided to go for a walk.
Each step I take beats around my head, banging on my skull, I must be ill. I suppose it would make sense.
I hear a mumbling behind me. I crane my neck to find a shaggy blond haired man behind me. He is wearing patched black jeans and a white vest top. I ignore him.
After a while I hear the man mumbling again. I'm under a tunnel this time, so it echoes loudly. I do a quick full turn. I realise he has gained on me. I turn my head again, he's jogging to catch up.
Without thinking I run out of the tunnel, he's chasing- Wait! It's another hallucination-
My thought was knock out of my head as the man tackled me into a field. He drags me under a small gathering of trees.
"You should listen to me, Killer. I know what you see," He says.
"W-what? I see... Trees I guess. You can see them too!" I say innocently.
"Don't play dumb, I can see them too. They do actually want us,"
"Who? And why? I don't really want to discuss this with someone who's... Threatening me!"
"What? I threat- whatever! I just thought you might want to... Well not get murdered, or worse."
"Or worse! You mean tortured! I'll take some poison with me then."
"They use what you fear most, once they know you better, they will use it against you," His jaw clenches. "And they will do it again and again, until you break."
