Just a filler really, still some good stuff I think :) x
Justin's POV
It had been ages since we'd done this. Just at around and kissed.
Things had been so hectic lately, what with Drew's Mother popping back up out of the blue, me killing Phil - in self defence if I might add -, coming out to Canada, and most importantly, getting engaged.
We hadn't had enough time to breathe, let alone just collapse on the sofa and make out, even if it was seven AM.
Drew's fingers slid under my shirt, slowly gliding up my abs as we kissed continuously. She sat comfortably on my hips as I leant my back against the arm rest, trying to keep my hands to myself and be a gentleman.
I fiddled with the bottom of my black hoodie she wore, keeping myself as preoccupied as possible as she slid her warm tongue inside my mouth. I held back a grin as her hands traveled lower and lower, until she was past my abdomen, lingering just above my grey sweats.
"Ahem".
We broke the kiss and snapped our heads around to the foot of the stairs, where my Father had suddenly appeared from out of nowhere.
"Hi Dad" I stated casually as Drew blushed bright red. She's so adorable.
"Having fun there son?" he smirked, folding his arms across his t-shirt clad chest.
"Tons" I grinned as he wandered past and into the kitchen. Just in case you were wondering, the kitchen looks out onto the living room, so he could see what we were doing.
Drew awkwardly clambered out of my lap and sat beside me, her eyes wandering off to stare around the room.
"Drew, what are you doing?" I whispered, missing the presence of her warm body upon mine.
"We can't do it now, you're Dad's watching" she muttered back, barely moving her lips as she flicked the TV on to act casual and pretend she was watching it.
"So? I don't care" I shrugged, and leaned over and pressed my lips firmly down on hers. She let it last a few seconds, before awkwardly shying away.
"I care. I don't want your Dad to think I'm a slut" she stared down at her twiddling thumbs, clearly self conscious about herself.
I sighed softly, smoothing my hand down her cheek as I whispered with a soft smile.
"You're not a slut. You're perfect, and you're my baby girl" I mumbled into her neck, pecking her gently as I felt my Father watching us with a smirk.
"Do you two want some coffee?" came my Father's voice from the kitchen.
"Coffee babe?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her into my side.
"Uh, yeah. Two sugars please" she called, glancing over her shoulder at my Father.
"Justin?".
"I'm good, thanks".
Jeremy brought over two mugs of steaming hot coffee, handing one to Drew and keeping one for himself.
"Thanks" she smiled, taking a gentle sip straight away.
"Welcome".
We fell silent as our eyes glued to the TV screen, focusing on the drama show that was playing. It wasn't all that good, and my Father soon got bored enough to make small talk with Drew and I.
"So Drew, tell me about India" he began, taking a long sip of the jot liquid in the mug. Steam swirled up through the air, curling and twisting in every direction possible before disappearing amongst the thin air.
"Well, she's four; like Jazzy, and she is completely obsessed with Colour Me Mine" she giggled, and my heart warmed at the mention of my daughter. I couldn't really call her a step-daughter, because Phil wasn't her husband, or even boyfriend, so, I think I get to class her as the official thing.
"Haha, Jazzy's obsessed with it too. They should go together when India gets out here".
Oh. I forgot to say.
Drew's face knitted together in confusion, her smile slowly fading as she didn't understand what my Father had meant. She turned to look at me, hoping for some sort of explanation.
"Sorry, I totally forgot to tell you, I invited your family out here to celebrate" I grinned, but Drew's face stayed the same.
"You didn't tell them we were engaged did you?". She seemed really skittish, and wary, her eyes full of fright as she stared deep into mine.
"No, I just said we had something to tell them. I thought we could do it together, on Christmas Day" I continued to smile, convinced she had been worried because she'd wanted to tell them herself. That didn't seem to be the case. She seemed worried about them knowing in general.
"When do they get out here?".
"Tomorrow night".
Drew nodded slowly, her facial expression still unchanging as my Father and I tried to understand what was wrong.
She stood from the sofa, leaving her coffee on the table as she muttered an "Excuse me for a moment", a pale complexion washing over her.
She walked off in silence, climbing the stairs and disappearing down the hallway.
What? I'm so confused right now.
My father looked at me as if to say "What's going on?", and I looked back with one of those "I dunno" expressions.
"Well" my Father stated, as if there was something I should be doing.
"What?".
"Oh I don't know, how about: FOLLOW HER DUMBASS" he pointed towards the stairs, a knowing look plastered across his usually smug face.
"Oh, right" I nodded, before getting up and going after Drew.
I have a lot to learn.
"Drew? Babe you in here?" I called throughout our bedroom, although it was pretty much the only place she would probably think to go.
I closed the door with a soft 'click', enclosing myself in the silence of the bedroom. I listened out, and heard the quietest sniffle coming from the closed bathroom door. I approached it slowly, knocking softly as I heard a few more sobs from inside.
"Drew, what's wrong babe?" I asked, feeling strange as I spoke to the door. There was a long, silent pause, before the door opened a few inches, and Drew's face appeared, pink and puffy from the tears she had obviously been crying. I pushed on the door gently and at first she was reluctant, but eventually let go and allowed me to open it fully.
I stepped inside, close to her body as I used my index finger to wipe away a single runaway tear.
"Why you cryin' baby girl?" I whispered gently, wrapping my arms around her waist. She looked upset, and also kind of irritated, but I decided to ignore that fact and try and help her out of the apparent mess she was currently in.
"Y-you invited my entire family out here, and I'm not even sure if I wanted them to know just yet" she cried gently, using the back of her hand to wipe the tears off her tanned cheeks.
"Why would you not want them to know?".
She took in a shaky breath before doing her best to get out an un-stuttered sentence.
"Poppa's gonna hate me" and she broke down into hysterical sobs, falling into my embrace. I smoothed her hair softly, calming her with the occasional "Shh" and kisses to the head.
"Why is your pops gonna hate you angel? You're getting married, not joining a cult" I did my best at making her laugh, but she only gave a feeble smile and breathy chuckle.
"He always told me not to get married young, like my Mother did to my original Father. He says it has no value if I'm still just a child" she had sort of stopped crying by now, and only gave the occasional sniffle and gasp for well-needed air.
"But you won't be a child. We still have to wait, at least until you're seventeen, and maybe by then we could get his approval and we'd be legally allowed-" I began, my mind set up with the best case scenario. I could see it all planned out.
Her Pops would walk her down the isle, totally proud that he approved of such a dashing young man - that's me by the way ;) -, and allowed his granddaughter to be swept of her feet and loved for every second of-.
"No, Justin. He will never approve. That's the thing. I don't want to wait two years. I want to marry you now. Like right now".
My heart was melting as her eyes filled with love and passion, her arms wrapped tightly around my neck.
I grinned widely at her, a plan forming in my head.
"Then we'd better figure out a way to get his approval, Mrs. Bieber. I'm gonna make your Pops love me so much, he's going to want to take your place on our honeymoon" I chuckled.
Drew grimaced. "That's a bit graphic".
Ewwwww.
"Oh. Yeah that's a bit too vivid for my liking. Excuse me while I throw up in my mouth" I nodded with a grin, making Drew burst out laughing.
Operation get Pops to love me (But just to be clear there is no way he is taking Drew's place on our honeymoon) is underway ;).
Next part is tomorrow night, going 2 bed now, na night Opussians :) <3 x
