I've had my dinner and I'm well fed.
As I trail up the stairs, you lag behind.
You definitely are one of a kind!
I hide under the covers as you perch on the end.
I wriggle up below the covers to you, my friend.
You shout "Surprise!" as I squeeze you tight,
My oh my, you gave me a fright!
I lie on my front, you sit on my head,
These are the rules if you reside in my bed.
You're the best teddy bear, a child could own!
You cheer me up when I'm alone!

When the light does go away, And dark surrounds me every way, I curl up in my little bed, I lie down, I rest my head. I think of all that day did hold, As the covers keep out the cold.
There was once a little bunny Who was always there for me When I was feeling terrible Or if I was lonely.
Sleep now, my baby. Night has come to play. Only wake again tomorrow. When night becomes day. Let the sleep take over. Let your mind dream. Dream of things unreal. And how things seem.
