New Year's close
Time is ticking
My thoughts are scrambled
My fingers; they're clicking.
Where is my hope?
I only see fear
Will the time to come
Be a better year?
The people I love
Some are lost
It tore my heart
It wasn't worth the cost.
I wish to be happy
Yet my heard is sad
Dancing and getting drunk
Does nothing to make me glad.
My family still love me
But I feel all alone
Like there's something missing
I'm a dog craving a bone.
The future is near now
I want to run away
If only life was stress free
I could live each and every day.
If only I could freeze time
I'd be happy right here and now
Happy new year to all
Stand tall and take a bow.
