CHAPTER 8
I bought the shoes quickly as it looked like Julie and Vicky were getting bored.
"Thanks a lot for doing this with me," I told them, smiling "I really appreciate it, thanks." I opened my arms for a hug and they accepted
"No problem!" they reassured.
We went to a cafe and over lunch we talked about venues.
"Is there anywhere in new quay that does weddings?!" grumbled Julie taking a sip of her J2O.
I smiled "Hmm."
"It's hard, I suppose we need a map."
"Yeah." Vicky said. I sipped my milkshake quietly.
"What's wrong?" Vicky asked
"Nothing," I replied "It's just I think I have a venue that I think Max will like too."
"Oh yeah?" said Julie "Where is it?"
"It's at the beach," I explained "It's where he took me on our first date and where he proposed but that was on a different beach."
"Thats nice!" Vicky smiled. "It's best we get back though." we agreed and drove home.
We got back at Julie's house at half three.
"Can I keep my dress at your house? So Max doesn't see it." she nodded and took it upstairs along with the shoes. I dropped Vicky off and then drove home myself.
The next day I went over to Max's and told him about where we could have our wedding.
"I think its a great idea!" he said. I was about to say something back but Max cut me off by a kiss. His arms wrapped around my body. In between kisses he said "I love you!" I said that back too. When we had finished… you know… kissing he said "Can I guess what your dress looks like?"
"Ok." he thought for a moment and then said
"Is it like a white dress that goes in and then goes out with ripples?"
"No comment." I blushed
"Oh come on, ok hot or cold?" he pleaded
"Cold!" I lied. How did he know my dress was like that? I quickly changed the subject "So when should our wedding be?"
"How about August 17th? So if today's June 30th then a month and a bit."
"Is that enough time?" I enquired
" Should be we now just need to book the venue and the invations."
I smiled
"I'm so lucky to have you!" I whispered in his ear as he hugged me.
Throughout the however many weeks we had till the wedding, we managed to book the venue and decided to use a CD player for the music… All to do now is write the invations.
A few days before the wedding I went over to sleep at Julie's. Vicky came too. They both ordered me to practice walking in my shoes, everyday, so that I could get used to them.
It was now August 16th. Julie and Vicky both gave them self stations as what I do tomorrow, Vicky hair and Julie makeup. I decided to have my hair in a french plait that I would put on my left shoulder. My make up would be a light purple eye shadow with a darker purple on top, with black mascara and eyeliner. My lip color would be light red.
"You need to get good sleep tonight." Vicky warned me.
"We will wake you up at half seven and then drive you to the restaurant that's on top of the cliff." Julie said "The restaurant said we could use one of their upstair rooms that no one knows about."
At 10 I went to bed with butterflies in my tummy. Nerves. I slept really well that night, surprisingly and now was the day of my wedding. It was a perfect day for it too. The sun shone brightly through the window with no clouds about.
Julie and Vicky came in at half seven, just like they promised. I had a bowl of cereal and then once we had the dress, make up an shoes in the car we drove off towards the restaurant.
My perfect day had begun.
