'I...I... Yes, nothing could make me happier.' I burst out. He stood up, wrapped his arms around my was and spun me round, my long hair billowing out behind me. Then he kissed me, the people in the restaurant cheered. I looked up into his eyes smiling, oh my god, I thought he is mine. I'm going to be his wife. My whole body was buzzing and my heart felt like it was going to burst with my love for Adam. Then he said, 'oh and I almost forgot.' he slid the most beautiful ring I had ever seen on my finger. It was a simple silver band, that had a single small diamond, it was even more beautiful than I ever imagined it would be. Adam paid the bill and we walked through the restaurant, hands tightly clasped together, we got numerous congratulations from people and we both had huge smiles plastered on our faces. When we got to our room we saw Lucy and Tom sitting on our bed. As soon as we walked in Lucy sprung up and launched herself at me. I saw Tom walk up to Adam and say congratulations. Lucy nearly knocked me over she ran into me at such a force. She hugged me so tightly that I momentarily couldn't breathe. 'oh Abby, I'm so happy for you, let me see the ring.' she squealed excitedly, grabbing at my hand. 'wow' she gasped when she saw it and her face got all serious. 'I really am happy for you Abby, I can't really believe that you'll be a married woman' she looked sad. 'Lucy nothing is going to change between us, I'm not going anywhere.' I reassured.
'I know' she sighed 'anyway we have to start planning your big day.' she exclaimed.
'yes we do.' I said excitedly 'you will be my maid of honor won't you?'
'yes yes yes' she squealed, embracing me in another breath stealing hug. 'anyway, we'll leave you two now.' she said giving me a knowing look, I batted her on the arm. 'come on Tom.' she said giving him a pointed look. Tom walked away from Adam and followed Lucy out the door. I practically leapt into Adams arms and pushed him against the wall, kissing him fiercely. 'I love you' he said in between kisses.
