Psychic Love

Hi! I am writing a new story called 'Psychic Love'! It is a fantasy story! Please tell me what you think of the first chapter!

Chapter 1
New Day
I woke up, groaning. Fantastic, it was freezing today, I pulled my covers tight around my cold body, making me tingle at the warmth. I would stay like this all morning, after all it was Sunday, the day of rest. I let my eyes close and I smiled to myself, weekends were great, no school, no lessons, no teachers. In no time, I had fallen asleep again, leaving the real world behind me and going into a fantasy. School was cancelled for a year, a whole year...
"Scarlett! Wake up! It's 7:30am and you have school today!" I heard a voice shout in the distance.
I woke up with a gasp. Oh no! I had completely forgotten that I had school today, seven hours of boring school.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" I snapped, I was not a morning person.
I crawled to my wardrobe and picked out an outfit for school, casual yet subtly amazing. In the end, I chose some red, denim jeans, a white blouse and a red cardigan. I couldn't be bothered to dress like a princess. After lazily brushing my hair, I trudged downstairs and slumped on a chair.
"Morning," I groaned.
"Morning!" my mum answered, brightly.
"What's up with you this morning mum? Your so...cheerful!" I observed.
"I was showing you how to say 'morning', grumpy!" my mum replied, buttering some toast.
I scoffed, pouring milk onto my cereal, like I didn't know how to say 'morning'. Mum could be so annoying sometimes. After I had finished breakfast, I realised how late I was and rushed upstairs to brush my teeth and grab my bag.
"Bye mum!" I called, running out the door.
I sprinted to school, I was so late, and I had a test this morning. I couldn't miss it. I arrived at school, panting, all my friends were already in the corner of the field, chatting.
"Hi...sorry, I'm late...I got up late!" I panted.
"Ok," all my friends answered, simultaneously.
We all laughed, before separating to go to our classes, when the bell rang.
"Hey Scarlett!" Leon shouted down the corridor.
I, as always, ignored him and carried on walking. Leon would win an award for being an idiot, for some unknown reason, everyone looked up to him, like he was a trophy or something. All the girls liked him, apart from me. Leon always played tricks on people with his friends and they laughed, amused when their evil, little plans worked. This idiot liked one particular girl in the school (even though he had many admirers) that other people usually ignored. That was of course, me. Just my luck.
"Morning," Joe said cheerfully, as I sat in my usual seat for English.
Joe was alright. We weren't exactly friends, but I talked to him sometimes in English.
"Hi," I replied.
The chattering died down as Mrs Williams walked into the room, her arms full of papers.
"Good morning everyone. I'm sure you were all looking forward to your English test over the weekend. Am I right?" Mrs Williams asked, smiling.
Everyone groaned and shook their heads, I was in year 9 now (so I was nearly 14) and the work got so much harder. Mrs Williams chuckled at the response.
"It's got to be done, I'm afraid," she sighed.
Everyone sat in silence as we completed our English tests. It was easier than I thought actually, I just had to stick to my plan and I would be fine. After an hour, Mrs Williams collected the papers back in and dismissed the class.
"You will get your results on Thursday," Mrs Williams told everyone as they hurried out the door.
After another two lessons-science and maths- it was lunchtime. Possibly the best part of school, an hour to do whatever you wanted. I sat in the corner of the field with my friends, Amber, Paige and Lily. Lily was my best friend, we had been friend's since the age of 9 and we had promised each other that we would always be friends.
"Scarlett, you doing anything tonight?" Leon asked, grinning as he walked past us.
All his friends laughed and whistled.
"Actually, yes," I replied coldly.
"Yeah? What you doing then?" he asked.
"None of your business," I answered, smoothly.
"Have fun(!)" Leon laughed, sarcastically.
As soon as they'd walked away, Paige shook her head and sighed.
"Why don't you just go out with him? He likes you. I would say yes!" Paige said.
"He's an idiot," I responded.
"If you say so..." Amber sighed, staring at Leon.
"Honestly, you two, he is an idiot. I don't see why you like him!" I exclaimed.
"He is popular. He is clever and good looking! What's not to like!" Paige giggled.
"Everything," I muttered.
Lily laughed at our conversation, she didn't really like Leon either. Lily was quite mysterious really, you never knew what she was thinking. Her expression was usually blank, except when she was laughing or crying. That was sort of why I liked her, she was never to critical or never asked to many questions. She was a loyal and caring friend, who liked to laugh and have fun.
The rest of the afternoon passed quickly, with no main events or problems. Just a normal day. I was still grateful when the 'end of the day' bell rang though and I was free to go home and relax. I didn't really have anything planned tonight, I just told Leon that so he would stop annoying me. Tonight I could just relax, watch a movie maybe, read a book and chill out.
Just as I was reading, the phone rang.
"Scarlett! Get the phone!" my mum shouted.
"Ok!" I replied.
I skipped gracefully into the kitchen and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Scarlett! I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie with me tomorrow?" Leon asked, I could hear his friends in the background.
"And I was wondering if you could leave me alone?!" I said through gritted teeth.
"Sorry, not gonna happen Scarlett!"
"Well make it happen!" I snapped, slamming the phone on the table.
A few seconds later the phone rang again.
"What now?" I asked, angrily.
"Uh...Scarlett...it's Lily. Did I do something to upset you?" Lily asked, in a worried tone.
"Oh, Lily! I am so sorry, no you haven't done anything wrong. It's just Leon..." I sighed.
"Oh, ok. Are you busy tomorrow, after school?" Lily asked.
"No, why?"
"My mum says you can come round tomorrow, I need to show you something," Lily said.
"Sure, cya tomorrow," I replied, my mind somewhere else.
"Bye!" Lily exclaimed.
This time, I gently placed the phone back on the table. What did Lily need to show me? Was it something bad? I guess I would just have to wait until tomorrow...

"Well make it happen!" I snapped, before slamming the phone down on the table.
