(I wrote a Snow White poem with a twist and I really enjoyed writing that so I am writing a Cinderella one as well!)
Sitting by the fireplace,
Thread and needle in her hand,
Sewing every dress and skirt,
On every piece of land,
Evil sisters smirking,
Step-mother so amused,
Cinderella never knew what she did,
It made her so confused,
All she ever did was sew,
Cook, clean, and sleep,
If it would fit in her schedule,
She'd sit down and weep,
But then one day a letter came,
About the prince's party,
Cindy was excited, her sisters laughed,
"We will see about this smartie!"
Cinderella was forbidden,
To go to the glittering ball,
She'd have to work from morning,
Until sunset and nightfall,
Cinderella cried all day,
While sewing her sisters a dress,
She angrily undid some stitches,
But this she wouldn't confess,
At 7:00pm her sisters and mother left,
Leaving poor Cindy alone,
"You will go to the ball my dear!"
A fairy said in a sweet, chiming tone,
Cinderella beamed and clapped,
The fairy muttered strange things,
A beautiful pink ball gown appeared,
As she waved it, her wand rings,
Cinderella stepped outside,
In her satin, pale pink shoes,
Outside was a pumpkin carriage,
Which seat inside should she choose,
It was pulled by grand horses,
White with golden hooves,
Without a warning or a gesture,
The carriage joltily moves,
When Cinderella arrived at the ball,
Everyone was dazzled by her beauty,
Her hair was tied in an elegant bun,
And she was wearing a perfume, fruity,
The prince took took her hand,
And asked her if they could dance,
Cinderella eagerly nodded,
Around the ballroom she began to prance,
They whirled and twirled until midnight,
Then Cinderella knew she had to go,
Or her dress and shoes would disappear,
And the horses as white as snow,
She ran from the prince as fast as she could,
But she dropped her shoe,
Th prince picked it up and shouted her,
But down the street she flew,
The night soon passed,
And Cindy's sisters never knew,
That she had gone to the ball,
Because she hid her dress and her shoe,
Later that morning there was a knock on the door,
And the prince held up the slipper,
"I need to know who's this is,"
The sisters nearly choked on their kipper,
They ran towards the prince and reached up high,
Trying to snatch satin shoe,
Cinderella was to quick,
Across the room she flew,
She pushed the sisters out her way,
And slipped on the shoe as fast as light,
The price smiled and looked at the girl,
"It was you I danced with last night,"
Cindy tripped up her sisters,
Who screamed "I broke a nail!",
Cinderella locked them up and threw away the key,
Even though she heard them scream and wail,
Cinderella married the prince,
For her it was a nice ending,
As for the ugly step sisters,
There attitudes are mending!
The end! I hope you liked it!
