Paradise

They say a picture speaks a thousand words.
I say a word can speak a thousand pictures.

Paradise. The air tumbles across a picturesque beach, each particle stopping to greet your bare skin. The waves kiss the pale shoreline punctuated with pastel sea shells, memories of when this abandoned island was teaming with majestic Jurassic giants. Paradise.

Paradise. Kissing your neck, tickling it with his heavenly lips, breathing warm and soothing caresses, he tells you you're his only girl. That he'll treat you right. That no matter what happens, he will do anything for this to work. You know he isn't lying. Paradise.

Paradise. Orchestra music darts and dives in the cool night breeze, each bandstand occupied with a hive of song-weavers. Tonight will be the night. You step and twirl and smile in perfect time amongst the hoards of unknown faces and bodies, getting lost, being absorbed by the buzz, losing yourself like you never wanted to find yourself, as though this is your final night here. If it was, you couldn't care less, this would be your final bow, your curtain call. Or maybe tonight is just the beginning, a dashing opening number. Paradise.

Music

A sweet symphony. One that blows in the trees. The shush of the grasses blades. A soothing tune. Like water trickling in a stream. A small breeze through my hair. The sea salt in the air.

Ghosts Of The Past

When I'm alone, I'm often visited by the ghosts of my past. Some are happy and make me smile, Others reopen long-healed wounds and they are as sore as when they first bled.

"Who New" (by P!nk)

You took my hand. You showed me how. You promised me you'd be around. Uh huh. That's right. I took your words. And I believed. In everything. You said to me. Yeah huh. That's right.

When

Under the moonlit starry night sky. She shivers and shakes with a tear in her eye. The bridge that she stood on, many times through the years. She's one step away from, but that step she can't bear.

The House Of You And Me

As I walk through the halls We once did share Noticing all the things, We never got to repaire. And the roof It leaks When I'd walk Raindrops splattered upon my cheeks. And the walls are crumbling.
