As I walk through the halls
We once did share
Noticing all the things,
We never got to repaire.
And the roof
It leaks
When I'd walk
Raindrops splattered upon my cheeks.
And the walls are crumbling.
You always wanted to paint them,
A deep and lovely green.
The same shade as the stem,
Of the flower
You gave to me.
And now
I finally do see
Why you loved
This place.
And when we'd race down these halls,
The priceless smile on your face,
As fragile as these walls.
