Too bad
They are
all I have
Besides snippets of my childhood

I keep them close
The memories
Even though the real thing
Is long gone

They keep me going
Keep me smiling
keep me swimming
So I don't drown

My few happy moments
Are all I have
And I wish
I never had to let go of them
