"Well? What happened?" Jonny asked curiously.
"OK, I'll tell you." She replied taking a deep breath. "We where sitting on the couch, me and Robbie, watching TV. I was texting Red about going out tomorrow. But Robbie saw Red's name on my phone and started this big thing about me spending to much time with you two. I said that was crazy because I loved him, and that you where simply my friends. So then we had this big row, and... and..." She put her head in her hands. Robbie was Kay's boyfriend, he was the one I saw at the beach, the day I hit my head. I knew he was bad news from the moment I saw him.
"He gave me 1 hour to pack all my things and get out." Kay continued bravely, "But it took a little longer than an hour, so he chucked me out. I left my little Kelly."
She really broke down this this time round.
"What's Kelly?" I asked.
"My doll from when I was a baby, my first Christmas. I just hope he hasn't done anything with it. I know what he's like when he's mad." Replied Kay wiping her eyes.
Me and Jonny decided to go to bed at about 10:15. Jonny said he would sleep on the couch, as there where only 2 bedrooms. But Kay got tired and went to bed at 09:35. I couldn't stand seeing Kay like this. I had a plan...
I lay there in bed, staring at the 4 walls that seemed to be enclosing me. I rolled over and looked at the time, it read: 11:34pm. I tiptoed out of bed and silently put some clothes on. The only way of getting to Robbie's was by car, it was WAY to far to walk. I slinked down the hall and into the living room. I could hear Jonny snoring from my room! I crept to the door, I knew that the only way to get there was by car. Or by ugly green truck! I rooted around in Jonny's coat pocket and pulled out a set of keys with a rubber chicken attached to them. I'm not really surprised, knowing him.
I walked out to the truck. I knew how the basics of driving. I knew the brake and the accelerator and the steering wheel and the hand-brake and the gear stick (even though I have no idea what it's for. I choose to ignore it!) and the radio. I started the engine, put my foot down, and sped away. I was going a little faster than I would have hoped, but I didn't know how to slow down! The other people on the highway where no better drivers than I was! Probably out clubbin'. When I arrived at the block of flats I was surprised on how tall it was.
When I go to the INCONVENIENTLY PLACED flat (on the top floor!) I pulled a paper clip from my pocket. I didn't really expect this to work, but surprisingly, it did! I creeped in. The plan was to find Kelly and make a dash for it. I shut the door behind me, trying to be as silent as possible. Creeping to the first bedroom door... SMACK! Blackness. Again.
