It took Josh a second to reel in the shock but not long later he was shaking his head, with a huge smile on his face. Josh held out his hand and I took it gingerly. He had never willingly given me his hand to hold. I watched him as he lead me out of the garage.
"What?" He finally asked as we both covered our eyes from the bright sun.
"You must have hit your head hard when I was gone" I smiled.
He smirked. "Well, Cassandra, if you don't want me to hold your hand I won't."
This made me laugh. "I think you are the one wanting to hold my hand and not the other way round." I teased.
"Fine! If you don't want me to hold your hand then I won't." He shrugged.
"No." I half shouted. This made him smirk rather smugly as if he'd just won an argument or something. "You can wipe that smile off your face too." I smiled then added, "So, where are you taking me?"
Josh shrugged. Sometimes he loved to see me suffer and maybe I should be worried about that but for now I was fine. I was fine and I was safe.
Then someone screamed my name and it brought a smile to my face.
