I'm Not A Toy

He wears a false smile to hide the hurt. He fakes a laugh to shield a shallow blow.

He spends most of his time thinking about it thinking about hurting himself. He acts like his skin is paper so he cuts it. She acts like his heart is a toy so she plays with it then gets bored and leaves him there for someone else to pick up and fix him.

I picked him up and saw through his lies and tried to help him, tried to repair the state she left him in.

But like all other brats she saw someone else happy with the toy she left behind and decided to take him back. He didn't put up a fight. He went with her and left me alone to pick up the shattered remains of my heart off the floor where he left it.

Now I'm the one left behind and breaking. But unlike him I'll never go back to the one that hurt me. I'm to good for someone like that. I'm not anyone's toy, you can not play with me and break me or get tired of me. I will never be the one to hurt and break someone.

I'm not and never will be anyone's toy.
